Brian Vickers Race Summary: No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine driver Brian Vickers finished 15th in Sunday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver started 19th and used a fast car and fast pit stops to charge to the front of the field. Vickers moved into the top 10 on lap 40 and climbed as high as sixth on lap 99. A brush with the wall around lap 160 stalled out some of his progress dropping him to 14th. Vickers worked his way back into the top 10, but an untimely caution seconds after he pitted and a speeding penalty dropped him to 19th, a lap behind the leaders. Vickers regained the lost lap in the closing laps and rallied to finish 15th. The No. 55 Aaron’s team returns to action Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway.

VICKERS: “That wasn’t the finish we deserved tonight. The Aaron’s Dream Machine was really good and my pit crew turned in awesome stops. We were a little tight in the center but I thought we had something for them. We’re just going to have to go win Richmond now. If my Aaron’s Dream Machine is as good as it was tonight we’ll be good.”

Clint Bowyer Race Summary: No. 15 SpeedDigital.com Toyota driver Clint Bowyer finished 38th in Sunday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Bowyer spent the remainder of the race running hard and regaining a few of the lost positions.
